Well yesterday I was just bored on the internet, on Facebook and the like, when all of a sudden for no reason my computer crashed and displayed the notorious Blue Screen of Death. The screen displayed too fast for me to read the error code and whatnot so I was freaked out. I restarted my computer and it has been acting quite normally ever since, but why did the BSoD show up? Did I just suffer from an ordinary computer crash or was it something more than that?

NordicWarrior : Well it's pretty hard to help you without any details as to what happened other than the BSOD. There are times when a USB device could have crashed your OS, or it could be a sign of issues with your Windows Registry.

Again, without any further details on the error/code you aren't going to get much help here.

If you had a one-time blue screen and it's been working fine since... I wouldn't worry about it. The only time to really be considered about blue screens if it's consistently happening, especially with a particular thing that you're trying to do. If you couldn't even catch the error message given, then there's no way it can be figured out anyway. If you get another, try and catch the message and then you can get help on that... but if it's not crashing anymore, it could have just been a fluke.

I usually ignore BSODs when I get them because of the infrequency. Sometimes random crap happens. It's not a big deal.
