Minecraft, Mojang's finest creation,


But did the Xbox version do that much justice?








Graphics


5/10 For a game made up of polygons it doesn't fair to bad,


However in comparison with the computer version on Minecraft its a whole new story,


With the PC's version having thousands of texture packs available it makes the Xbox version seem like a prototype, the same goes for character skins.





Based on the fact the original game was written in pure java, the creatures and monsters resembled what they were meant to for example, zombies looked like zombies and chickens, chickens.





The original textures are still popular on the PC version due to the fact hi-res textures are available.








Sound


8/10 The sounds of minecraft are pure amazing, including some of the work by C418.


From a chicks bwak to a cows moo, Mojang got it right.








Addictiveness


10/10 Let me tell you this, Minecraft is addictive in all forms.


For some reason many players are inclined to log on daily and mine, build and craft away.


In this game your free to do anything! Kill chickens, eat bread, build houses and all that "exciting" stuff!

What is the ultimate goal? how much does this game REALLY offer? Well that all depends on your play style, if you like to mine, kill or build... when does the game ever end?

As for Depth, difficulty is hard to decide, it also depends on how you want to play.


For those who want to push themselves the difficult can increase.


For those who are laid back, it can be a breeze.








Conclusion


As one of the biggest SANDBOX games out there, minecraft has certainly gained a massive following and fan base, with many players playing daily.


But with all games, when will the success leave, as a game dies, into the memory of a gamers brain. When truly does a game become less than what time you have spent playing.

Is it true that this game on the X360 is similar to the old version of the game? I heard that info on a youtube channel.

The Xbox 360 is catching up to the current PC equivalent, however it still lacks a lot of the features in the PC version, so ultimately the PC version will always be better than the Xbox 360 version. I mean, the PC will get all the new stuff before the Xbox 360 anyway, plus it always will have the larger modding community compared to the Xbox 360 community. But the Xbox 360 community is growing considerably larger than it was on launch, however I still doubt it will get more players than the PC version for obvious reasons.

Uh.... your review only has 362 words and 2027 characters, and that includes the last sentence that claims 381 words and 2100 characters. Just saying.

Just got rid of that count all together, I see why it was just unnecessary pointlessness on my part.
I probably will rewrite this review at a later date, however I do not think I will have the time to do so.
I will though take any help or tips given to me into consideration as I feel as if I'll do myself a favor
in doing so. After all I would not get any better at doing reviews if I did not take in constructive
criticism. So thanks for reading my review anyway. I guess I'll revise it at a later point.

This is a good review with a fair amount of detail. Great job.

Personally I have never found this game to be that addictive. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate what it is and the endless possibilities of what you can do in the game it's just not something for me that can keep me interested for the hours and hours it takes to make something great. There just isn't enough to it.

It keeps me interested for about 20 mins...then I'm bored. I liken it to a Sim City game where the whole game revolves around mining and building...with little else to keep me interested.

Jordanv78 :Comparing it to Sim-City is somewhat fair as it is a simulation game, however it does branch off
from that with much more mod support, I mean for example there are RPG modifications done to the game
which can make it more in-depth and fun to play. I guess really it's up to the play to deem how fun the game
is to them and everyone is entitled to their opinion even if I don't necessarily agree with it. The PC version has
a much bigger modding / mapping community compared to the Xbox version so I feel as if the PC version is
ultimately better.

iN008 : I was actually referring to the PC version as that's the only version I have played. Admittedly I have not tried out any of the "Mods" though. That may add some replay value from me. I was just referring to the standalone game itself though. There are plenty of games that are improved with Mods out there.

Hello. I'm PilotJacob. I also agree with you. Nothing can beat original Minecraft. When it first released, it was the greatest. 

This was a OK review. It need LOTS of depth and needed more of a what is it again... DETAIL! I don't mean to upset you, but those were extremely short paragraphs. I recommend you play the game or while playing a game to write a review for, have Notepad open on your computer and write your review as you go so you don't have to play, stop, and get back to playing. You can also copy and paste it from your notepad, but only if it is a original review!

This was a fairly good review and had good detail. Seems like the x-box edition is not the best.

Its not the best but its still fun to play
