For the sake of a "starter", or a pokemon that will stick with me throughout my entire journey and essentially become my closest pokemon, I'd have to go with Charmander. Even though he's already a starter, the Charmander family is very versatile and loyal. I'd feel like I was growing with him, unlike having a legendary as my starter

I think I would go with hoppip or munchlax. Hoppip because he's my favourite pokemon but he should be lvl. 10 because otherwise he can't attack. Munchlax because he's just pretty cool and snorlax is very strong.

i would choose eevee because it can be many other types by evolving it with a stone (ex: fire stone) or i would have a snorlax because he is a tank and he is also one of my favorite Pokemon because he can learn so many moves you can even teach him surf so that means you can have a powerful move and you would not need a water type Pokemon.
