Yellow was clearly the best game. You could catch all the pokemon in the game without ever having to trade, not including gengar, machamp, alakasam, and any of those that require trading to evole

I would say yellow getting to catch all the starters without cheating and having a pikachu following you just made it my favorite one of all time. But crystal is a close second.

i think the best pokemon game has got to be the old ones and im talking about red and blue i mean they did start all of this and if they suxed no one would have played them and we would be sitting here with no new pokemon games and that might have shut down alot of other pokemon projects. so i think that the red and blue ones are the best games.

I originally had the most fun with red, but I spent the most time on gold. I tried to catch all of them, but never checked a guide or anything and had no idea which pokemon were silver only. I had a level 100 feraligatr that I raised without using any rare candies. I also had a level 77 Scyther, but I had no one to trade with to make him a Scizor.

I'd have to go with all of them besides Ruby because of its

I liked the original Yellow, because you got a have a Pokemon follow behind you which hasn't been put back in until Heart Gold/Soul Silver. And that you get a Pikachu instead of having to search for one.
