Its been two days since my run in with the haunted Luigis mansion game. The image of Luigis mangled body is still fresh in my mind. The white eyes of mario still haunt my dreams. I havent done anything in the past days. All ive done is watch the door to my room while i try to fall asleep. Sometimes i think i see marios face, only for an instant, then i just try to convince myself that it wasnt there. I went back to the thrift store... i had to. When i asked about the lady who sold me the first game, a shady looking man claiming to be the manager of the store told me that she was gone... just gone. I looked back at the shelf that had the games on it and all that was there was a solitary copy of sonic CD. I had never played this before, but when i asked about the game the shday looking man said that she had taken all of the games when she left... She left? Did that mean the same thing as being gone? What had happened to her? And why was this the only game that was left? I bought the game and took it home. I booted it up and it appeared to run normally. But as i began the first level, something was off. Sonic's breathing was very heavy, he had an urgent look on his face. As i ran i could see he was constantly looking back. At what? But then as i passed the first check point i heard a distorted robotic voice say "Who are you running from?" sonic screamed after, seemingly in agony. i kept running, the level should have ended by now but it didnt... when would it? Sonic kept running and his breathing kept getting louder. Then the voice came back, even louder. "Are you running from... me?" then a pause... it sounded like crying, it wasnt sonic, it was the robot. Then as i kept running the robot said,"why do you run from me...why do you run from me... it was getting louder and louder. And after the fifth time the voice said it i hit a bump while i was running and stopped for a second. I heard the voice of sonic scream "no...no NOOOOOO" And as the final no was said I heard "I found you" in the robotic voice. Suddenly metal sonic showed up on the screen. Sonic backed into a corner, and there was a flash of red. Then i heard a screeching high pitched sound from the disk, and the screen want black. I took the game out and examined it, there was a huge scratch in the game and i couldnt get it to run again, but the tv still was running the game somehow and i saw text appear...
"why sonic...Why?"
