to be perfectly frank, I have to say that I hat bothe of them. Why? because they are in Pokemon, Diamond and pearl! but if i had to pick one it would have to be palkia. Why? Because he looks like he could be a godzilla monster. And is that not something to be admired?

I would say palkia. Dialga has teh LOOKS xDD that was the reason everyone wanted diamond

Well, if you look at what Neyro posted, i would say that palkia is better, even if he has a HP disavantage, he's other stats are quite high. Plus, you cant rely on the type advantage because one is stell/dragon and the other is water/dragon. I guess that the move set and situation have to decide on the winner/loser.
If you speak about icons, i would really prefer Dialga!

I think of it like this, would you rather have a monster made of diamonds or a monster made of oyster phlem? In a fight against each other, if Dialga knew Draco Meteor he would rape Palkia (metaphorically of course). This attack would get both a STAB and be super effective. Then again Palkia could do the same thing...?

Out of all the Dialgas and Palkias I've seen, Palkia has always been better. Palkia usually has way more Sp. Att. than Dialga. Usually, the Dialga only has a little more defense and a little more HP, but more speed. So, in general, Palkia would be better. ;D

I was under the impression that one could not win against the other without just dumb luck that the moves hit/miss. was that not how the movie made it seem. I think that was the whole point in them after all.

2. if roar of time misses palkia has more time to beat dialga.
3. roar of time requires a recharge messing up your next attack. (hint: to avoid this switch out to another pokemon if you can, the game does not make you miss a turn)

So overall niether is really better it is really a matter of opinion and battle style, if you fight like a berserker, then I would recomend dialga due to it's roar of time attack. if you fight with more refined tactics then I would suggest palkia.
