So, my cousin is taking me to get my first tattoo on the 23rd, and I needed a few ideas because what I in mind I do not want to get right now. I will wait until I get to Hawaii to get my Tribal, Celtic Cross, Dragon, and Nine Tails.
So, any ideas? I might even get my user name in Vizzed Design. Who knows? That is why I am asking for suggestions.
NOTE: I put this in Special Occasions and not Questions because this is a big thing for me.

thing1 : Well first off, don't get anything large. As you have "virgin skin" which is term that means your skin is not use to getting the needle. So that being said here is my advice...

1. Get something small- Your not use to the pain or the needle, so don't get something big.

2. Cover-ups- If you don't like the tattoo you get on the 23rd, then once you get used to the needle; then ask the next time you enter a tattoo shop to get a cover-up.

3. Don't get color unless your confident; Tattoos take a good amount of time to do, so adding color might mean your sitting longer thus more pain. Plus I tend to like Black and Grey tattoos better then color.

I would say get a small cross as it will be easy to cover up with a celtic cross.

Also where do you plan on getting the tattoo? This is key.

Oldschool41 : my cousin says he knows somebody at a shop in town. A nice, professional place on town... and that is what I planning on. I might even get the m4 in the boot, with the helmet on top. My two deceased grandfathers fought in wars; one in Viet Nam, the in World War Two. And would the tricep or calf be better?

thing1 : It would depend on how the tattoo looks and how big it is. Even thou the tricep an calf have a lot of smooth area, the tattoo might end up "curving" if its big. But its a good placement overall.

drdoom86 : How many sittings did that take? Also why is some parts in a thicker black then other parts? Overall pretty good job.
