While they're basically equal in power, there's quite a few things to consider.

For Shadow:
- His ability to master Chaos Control
- The fact he introduced Chaos Control to the series
- The advantages he has with Chaos Control
- His allies and enemies

For Sonic:
- His speed
- The fact he was able to harness the power of the Chaos Emeralds long before Shadow could
- The powers he clearly obtained from going into Super Sonic form (I'm referring to Boost, which is seen in Sonic Adventure 2 and IIRC, Sonic 06)
- His friends and enemies

Considering everything above, you should also realize that in Sonic Adventure 2, Shadow almost died in the end. Was it just a story piece to make the ending a lot better and leave more feels? Definitely. Does it show Sonic's strength with the Super form compared to Shadow? Another definitely. If that final push with Chaos Control was enough to knock Shadow out like that, then it's pretty clear that Super Sonic is a lot more powerful than Super Shadow, Nya~.

hmm...but what if supershadow were to use choas control on supersonic wouldn't that give supershadow just enough time to defeat supersonic? so therefor that means supershadow would most likely win in this fight.

It tells me that we have pretty much separate opinions, really.

Either way, I firmly believe that Super Sonic is much more powerful than Super Shadow.
