Ok, so I've been playing my RGR games on a friends pc, and only recently learned that the saves are stored to the pc itself, rather than the server (which makes so much more sense. Guess I should have payed more attention when reading the RGR plugin page). So now my question is: when I get my pc up and running, will I be able to open the .sav files and copy them with mere text coding and paste them in a folder on my pc since saves are stored by Id rather than ip, or is there no way to open the .sav files like this?

Transferring the RGR Plugin saves is possible. You will have to access your RGR Plugin Data Folder.

It can be accessed 2 ways:

#1 Go to Start Menu -> All Programs -> Vizzed Retro Game Room -> Open Plugin Data Folder -> User-242791. There find the game system folder and it will have a sub-folder for the save files. For example,
-N64 using 1964: 1964 > Save
-NES & FDS: FCEUX > sav
-GBA & GBC & GB: VBA > Saves
-Genesis & 32X: Gens > Saves
-SNES: ZSNES > Saves
-TG & AL & NGP & NGPC & WS & WSC & SGFX: Mednafen > sav

#2 Go to C:ProgramDataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginUser-242791, and you'll see folders for game systems.

You'll have to select the save file and transfer it to a thumb drive or file sharing site and ensure that it's placed in the same folder on the other PC that it was copied from. So for that you'll click the Play Game link for said game on the other PC which will create the folder.
