Here's another creepypasta! I hope you guys like this one more than my first one. :3

It started on the day Matthew Morris went to his everyday vintage game store, cleverly named 'VintaGames'. They sold plenty of classic games for various older systems. Since he had recently found his old SNES with a mouse,  he was looking for a copy of Mario Paint to play.

It turns out that they had one copy left in the SNES display. He nabbed it and almost hugged it. After buying the game at a steal price of six bucks, he was warned by the cashier that she hadn't tested the game. he ignored her, because it looked fine to him. Besides, he was completely stoked.

After coming home and popping the game into the system, the fun bouncy music played on the title screen. He plugged in the SNES mouse, very happy that the game worked. However, something looked wrong with Mario. He couldn't tell, but his eyes looked more empty and sad. He reluctantly clicked on him, and the game started. He was brought to the painting screen.

He happily painted and worked on a cool picture for about an hour, when suddenly the game froze. He frowned and bopped the game with his fist. Nothing happened.

Suddenly, the game came back to life again. Except the music was slow and warped, and then it went to the robot loading screen, and it loaded a painting without any input from him. He was confused.

The painting loaded unusually fast, and then he saw what it was:

"HELLO FRIEND."

written in red letters. The letters were written on what seemed like a gothic castle wall. The robot screen came up once again, as a new painting loaded.

He gagged.

Mario was bound and choked, wrists slit and intestines hanging out. He was afraid. He pushed the 'RESET' slide on the Super Nintendo. The game didn't reset.

The game went black, and then flashed white, and then black again.

He saw a new message on the screen:

"YoU NeXT"

Matthew's body was mangled and horribly disfigured. He had what looked like red paint splotches all over him. The police said he might have been murdered. His body was found bound and choked on the wall.

His mother came home, and a few months later began selling his things in an attempt to forget how her son died. She sold the deadly Mario Paint cartridge.

An 11 year old boy popped it into his Dad's old Super Nintendo.

Instead of the game, he was greeted with Matthew's horrified face before he died, with the message; "HELLO FRIEND"

(always a good face to see at the opening of a creepypasta, right?) Wow. Just...wow. Ok well, first off, I found myself a little concerned at one point about what it might say next if I kept going, which is good in a story intended to be creepy.
Next, I have to say the bound, gagged, slit wrists type thing is a bit outside my range of taste in a story, but that's just my personal preference. Did it ruin the story? no. It's just a bit on the sadistic side. Not calling you sadistic lol. Hardly. Rather that is the type of murder(?) depicted with the Mario scene, and it's not my type of read in that sense.
The new kid getting the game and seeing the previous owner (Matthew I believe it was?), and getting the same message was a nice touch. Better than an ending where just Matthew dies. Bravo on that.
There were a couple of issues in writing. First at one point you accidently jumped from a narrative pov to a first person pov when you referred to Matthew as "I". Easy enough mistake, and it doesn't hurt anything. Just thought you might want to edit it. Also the part where they "thought it might be murder". Seeing as how he was bound and on the wall, it would automatically be termed a murder case, barring a ridiculous case or two that have actually occoured.
Finally, it would have been nice to have a little more detail about the murder scene.

All in all, a very nice write, my friend. Keep up the good work. I will definitely read your next story.

Its fun to see all of my creepypasta people back again. It was a good story, my hands are shaking a bit, making this comment hard to write. Not to say that yours was bad and that it only made my hands shake, I just read so many creepypastas that its hard to get scared of just one.

A little comment, and some of you know how hard it is for me to be critical. I think when the game somehow attacks YOU, takes away from the story. It was still good, but how did an SNES game kill him? Again, it was a good story, contrary to Eirinn ; it was actually a lot less gory than some that I have read. And trust me, you do not want to read the more sadistic ones, they are life scarring stuff. Back to the original topic, it was a good story, you make good creepypastas and I would  love to see more.

It was that scary for you? I guess when you write a creepypasta it doesn't scare you as much. O_o

Anyways, that horrified me... although creepypasta isn't real, if I read one, I never play that game again. The Vizzed ones are less creepier than the ones on Creepasta wiki.
Maybe I'm too much of a timid person.

I've never played earthbound, but I guess I'll write my next one about...CLASSIFIED.

Sure! I can do a Pokemon one. Though, it will take me awhile to think up something creepy for the story.
