Well anyways i was just wondering how many people have heard of or played any Kingdom Hearts games i know theyre a little juvenile but they are probably some of the best games right up there with the Final Fantasy Series, so i was wondering if anybody had any news on The new Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep for the PSP, i cant find a release date for america and i would like to know when it will be here.

Release date 2009 is the most accurate release date out at the moment.

You probably could have put this in the Video Games forum, as it has nothing to do with FF besides the fact it is an RPG.

not true It has various FF characters and plots that are part of the game

Point taken, not to create an argument but thats about 10%FF(if that, even) and 90% a completely different game. See my point?

hmm.....besides the KH has a lot of FF related things, it was made by square with its graphic engine...well its not much, but more than 10% you can be sure it is dood

Most of us do play it because it's fun to have Final Fantasy characters.
Face it, if Final Fantasy was'nt in the game, it would have died on kingdom hearts 1.

Also, i heard the DS version, 358/2, which explains Roxas' story comes out this summer.

The PSP version, Birth By Sleep, is another story. I am sure it will be out after 358/2, but i'm not sure when.

You all have solid reasons but your missing my original point, It's not FF, its kingdom hearts. It's not huge deal, I only brought it up because its in the FF thread.

i agree with gtwalq, whether or not it has FF characters in it and whether or not you play it because it has FF characters in it isnt the point.
and the reason it survived isnt because there are FF characters in it, but it might be a reason.
and "it was made by square with its graphic engine" is no reason either, square have made alot of other non FF games and of course would reuse the graphics engine on some games.
if that was the case we might as well talk about Chrono Trigger here

KH is a RPG with disney characters in it.
it happens to have a few cameos from some FF characters and some based off of FF characters.

and wtf is it that the chibi Tidus' name is pronounced tea-dus?
it should be pronounced tide-us.

and yeah, dont expect to see Birth by Sleep till next year in english.

Okay, so I'm not the only that thinks the way they pronounce Tidus' name is obnoxious. D: I just looked into Birth by Sleep, since I had never heard of it until I touched this thread, and so far what I've been finding for release dates is "To be announced". ._. Apparently it won't even hit Japan until maybe December. I wonder if I should be depressed that half the point of this installment is to tie up loose ends from the very first game, but then I'm not particularly surprised.

I think the reason KH survived is because it has great gameplay, original story, uses Disney & FF characters(people do love both). Oh, and the graphics are awesome. Seriously, they're kinda real, kinda not. Almost like they designed it with cel-shading but tried to make it look real. It's a great art style. Although, I don't like that they use CG because Disney characters should be cartoons, not look real...shoulda used anime instead.

Anyways, I think 358/2 days(or whatever the heck it's called)will come out before BBS. Maybe BBS'll suck...maybe the name BBS secretly stands for "Big bulls***"

kingdom hearts has been good series because it something new final fantasty characters with Disney great combination.

I'm going to be honest, since it's come up--when I first heard of the concept of Kingdom Hearts, I scrunched my nose at it. I thought the idea of Square and Disney teaming up was an extremely bad idea, and while I liked the first two games for the PS2 (I bought the first one for the sake of skepticism), I still sometimes get the feeling that it was Kingdom Hearts that made Squaresoft merge with Enix. The games are fun--I don't know if I would quite go so far as to call them great--but there are minor details rampant throughout them that drive me nuts, and they're all Disney-based.

I have no idea how I feel about this installment right now. It's too early for me to really judge, but I do hope that, by the standards the first game set, this one will not be a disappointment.

The playable demonstration (demo) of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep was well received at the DK¦²3713 Private party. They had some complaints regarding to Ventus's demo due to constant jumping. They further stated that Ventus's demo gave them an idea of "how the game is going to feel", and predicted the game will improve the series.[9]

The game is currently set for a December 2009 launch in Japan, although Square has plans to release it in other territories.

I think kingdom hearts is ok. Also it was interesting how they tried to mix it up a little with chain of memories (woot cards), i wonder if they'll try a card type battle system again.

I happen to absolutely love anything related to Kingdom Hearts. when i first heard of it I wasn't sure i would like it...I mean disney? no thanks.

But it became one of my favorite games of all time. I LOVED the plot for the first one, and though the story for #2 wasnt quite as good the gameplay was amazing.

I don't care much for the DS right now, so i have no real interest in that game, but when birth by sleep comes out, I will be the first in line to get it. <333

I think another problem is that alot of you are guys, and for some reason guys act like anything with cutesy disney characters is crap. I happen to agree most of the time, but THIS one happens to be worth it. ^^

Kingdom hearts is a good game it's not my favorite but I do like the fact that there are ff chars in it.

i just bought a psp for dissidia and kingdom hearts... plus i had a 6 hour ride to camp this summer and my ipod has terrible battery life

Yeah I need to buy a PS3 too. I can't wait for Birth By Sleep, and 358/2 days.

i cant wait 2 play this i dont even care if im playing jap. this is going 2 be 1 of the greates games ever 4 psp.
