So, basically, if you didn't already know, the theory of multiverses states that our universe is just one in an infinite amount that has all the specifics right for life, and that the other universes also have specifics in a way that alter their suitability for life as we know it, and that they might even hold other humans. This sounds like a giant lottery to me- you pull a lever and all the dials spin- one for gravitational constant, air, suns, etc., and if you get them all lined up, you have a good universe and you can live in it. If not, oh well, spin again, you'll get one eventually. Your thoughts?

I think that is creepy and cool at the same time. Cool because if the astronomers find other life then we could have new possibilities. Creepy because our planet might be a spec of dust in a bigger planet or another universe.

earthwarrior : Yes, it's cool that there might be other life, but if you think about it, how would we get to it? It's in a complete other universe! It's not like it's light-years away. It'd be physically impossible to get to it! Thus, how would we even know about it? This theory just seems to be a dead-end to me.
