Ok, let me clarify this question. I've played through my first full round of Friends of Mineral Town, and married Karen. Well now that I'm starting a new round, I'm not sure who to pick this time. So I decided to ask you guys. What do you think? Since I married Karen the first time, she isn't an option this time.

I've picked Elli and Popurri before, and next I play if I don't play More Friends of Mineral Town, I'd pick Ann.

Also, lovin' that you're playing Harvest Moon! I love those games soooo much. I feel like they don't get nearly enough attention.

I got a DS one for Xmas from Lazlo, but I'm not sure which one yet. Can't wait to tear it open and get into it. <3

I usually play More Friends so i can play as a female character (for obvious reasons) but when I first came across the game and only knew of the regular version, I picked Ann. I think I related to her most of the cast. She's also the easiest route because your rival skips town unless you intentionally keep him around.

If you want a more interesting game, though, go for the Harvest Goddess.

KG : Sweet! I'm actually thinking of buying a ds just to get some of the harvest moon games. Lol It's my favorite game/series. I've been following it since the first one ('97 I think).

And I've thought about the Harvest Goddess, but it also seemed kind of wierd that she stays at the spiring still and you have to make an offering to see her. : I may try it after I play through and marry each of the girls, just for the challenge. I hear there are a lot of special requirements to marrying her, so it should be fun anyway.

Yeah, marrying the Goddess is no joke. You have to be at least in year 5, you have to catch every fish, ship every item, get all the Goddess Jewels, all the items from both mines, etc. I think staying interested without a wife or a baby for 5 years would be the real difficult part. ;]

If I had more time, I'd do it like you're doing it and marry all the girls, and then maybe if I come back around to it in the future and I want a real challenge, I'll try for her.

Also I'll tell you what game I get and how I like it when Xmas finally rolls around! I can already tell I'll probably recommend it, but I really dig Harvest Moon games, haha.

I picked Karen for my first play through, also! =) Even after marrying all of the other girls, including the Harvest Goddess (I've had this game since it first came out, so a LONG time) and Karen is still my favorite. I figured that it may help if I list the girls according to difficulty, from easiest to woo to the most difficult:

1) Ann - It may not seem like it, but I believe she is. When Cliff moves out, there are no more rival events to worry about. However, if you keep Cliff, it's a different story. Just keep in mind, that she has no one else to choose from if Cliff moves away. An easy gift to give her is Spa-Boiled Eggs.

2) Popuri - Though her man doesn't leave, he only shows up for one season out of the year, giving you three free months to woo her. Not to mention she adores chickens, making it a plus if you buy a lot of chickens from her shop. An easy gift to give her is scrambled eggs (or just eggs); to make scrambled eggs, you need the frying pan, eggs, and oil. Salt improves the dish, though.

3) Mary - She's almost always in the library, so it's easy to find her. If she's not in the library, you can usually find her in her house or in the super market. You can give her black grass, which is an incredibly easy item to find in the spring mine.

4) Elli - I have her ranked at number four, because she works with her rival man, making it more likely that you trigger rival events when you're just trying to talk to her. However, you can give her hot milk (milk and your pot) as an easy gift, so it's not too bad.

5) This is where I would put Karen, but you've already wooed her.

6) Harvest Goddess - By far the most difficult to woo. (But somehow, quite fulfilling.) She has no rival, but that doesn't take much away from the difficulty. It's easy to get her to like you: just throw a seasonal flower into her pond each day. (Except winter; I stocked up on magic blue flowers from fall and put them on my shelf; they were everywhere!) She also likes it when you fulfill a feat, such as walking 10,000 steps on the pedometer, or shipping 100 sweet potatoes. (Any large multiple of 10 will do for most farm-related tasks.) The hard part is actually convincing her to marry you. You have to fulfill a list of tasks:
Catch every species of fish, including the six fish kingsShip 1 of every shippable itemCollect all 9 Goddess Jewels and get the Goddess GemGet the Big Bed - though this is the same for any marriageDig up every item in both minesBe in your fifth (5th) year or later on the farmConfess that you want to "Marry the HG" and get a good responseI hope this may help you at all. ^^;

NeppyLeet : Thanks! I married Ann this time, by the way. lol And Popurri will be next. Up until FoMT, Popurri was always my first choice (including the first HM, where she was named Nina, or perhaps this was just her predecessor). Gotta love those Pink haired girls. :p I do plan to try the HG eventually though.
