What do you want to know about posting?
I can tell you that the more you post, the more experience and Viz you gain.  Viz is a good thing, as it allows you to play more games. ^.^

As for layouts, you can't create advanced ones unless you are a trusted member, and you aren't a trusted member until you get 10 trust points.  You can earn trust points by being active, following site rules, and being polite.

Until you are trusted though, you can either pay someone Viz to make you a layout, or you can buy one in the layout shop.  You CAN use the basic editor and make your own, but it's a little limited.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
