I really want to play Killer Instinct in all of its pure, arcade glory, but whenever I try to play, it says "kinst.chd not found' I know people have been able to get it to work because of the screen shots posted, so how can we get this game to work again?

I find this to be very unusual... if it was played in the past, it would have had to have had its CHD file already... and yet, it doesn't now?

tRIUNE : Any idea what happened here? You were apparently one of the people who played it previously and took screenshots.

Either way, tRIUNE would have to be the one to add the missing CHD file.

I've already added the CHds for Killer Instinct 1 and 2 to their game zips and re-upoaded them, but since you've played it before the CHDs were added, the Plugin is set up to load the old zip without the CHD. So you have to delete the zip "kinst" from your Plugin Data Folder.

The data folder can be accessed 2 ways:

#1 Go to Start Menu -> All Programs -> Vizzed Retro Game Room -> Open Plugin Data Folder -> Downloads. Find the zip for kinst or kinst2 and right-click/delete it, then click the play game link.

#2 Go to C:ProgramDataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginDownloads, find the game zip there, delete, then click the play game link.

Normally I could change the file name of the zip when I re-upload it which will change it to a new file URL but that won't work for MAME since it only recognizes the original file name.

I'll probably make a thread soon about the CHds that I upload and edit the post as I add new CHDs. Since a lot of the games aren't going to work for users if they played it before the CHd was added.
