So yesterday was pretty special for me. Yesterday was my very last day of college. It has been 6 1/2 years, and I am finally finished. My graduation ceremony is next weekend. So I am done! Took long enough, but I did it. It isn't 'official', but I am pretty much a college graduate now. 

One bittersweet thing about this is how I had to spend my last day yesterday. I got a sinus infection, so I feel like absolute hell. That is kind of a bummer, but I am still ecstatic about finishing college.

I'm so excited for you!  It sucks that you were under the weather yesterday, but still, I know how awesome it must be to reflect back.  Last year was my first year of teaching while not working on my graduate degree, and I couldn't have been happier about that.  Doesn't it feel like there is an enormous burden lifted from your shoulders?!?!

rcarter2 : True.  I was kind of lucky concerning that.  My high ACT score got me a full ride.
I hear teachers with more experience all the time saying that they are still paying off the loans though.    I feel for ya and I'm sorry about that aspect of it.  However, it's something that comes with almost every degree.  At least you'll have the lifted burden to comfort you.

Singelli : Not yet. It is mid year, and there weren't any opening at a school remotely commutable. Can't move since my wife has a teaching position here right now. So I'll keep looking and we might move next year if I find one elsewhere. With how many schools are here though, I can sub. Sub teachers around here have no problem finding work a minimum of 3 days a week, which is still about $300. Much more than I am making at the mental health center.

Yeah, I figured you couldn't get a job due to the graduating time, but I thought that maybe you had one secured because of how much more effective your graduate program seemed to be.  LOL

Oldschool41 : the Graphics design is meant for raising money as a donation from working for Microsoft/Sony, and the Biology Degree is for breeding, the breeding thing I want to breed Endangered animals to hopefully help bring their population up, and to put protection laws on them.

Yeah I figure as much. Sub teachers can make a solid amount of money, thou I believe that you have to register with the school in order to consider being a sub. I don't really know the process of how a Substitute teacher becomes employed.
