Aside from the popular rapid-fire modification, there are several temporary mods you may consider for your PlayStation3 (PS3) controller. Whether you wish to change its appearance for a day or a year to spice up the basic monochromatic color scheme of your controller or add comfort to your gameplay, you can purchase modification kits from hobby retailers.

The rapid fire modification is common for many console controllers. This modification registers one push on the trigger button as several subsequent triggers. Thus, you are firing more rapidly in your game. Rapid fire mods are best for shooter games. You can purchase controllers that already have this modification or kits that allow you to modify your own controller. Different rapid fire solutions allow you to customize just how rapidly you can fire.
