pray75 : I have played both games, but I've noticed their were a lot more war-crimes depicted in Modern Warfare.
For example threatening an unarmed soldier.

This bugs me though, it was made in America so it follows the "American rules" where the winner says who did what.
Many countries are part of the International Criminal Court that actually addresses the issue of war crimes committed instead of letting the winning country sweep it under the rug and say it never happened. Actually here is a video that actually sums it up quite nicely.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 I'd say. It's a lot of fun and has a different element to it than Battlefield 3, which is still an awesome game.

iN008 : I've seen that video. I definitely enjoyed that and a lot of his Game theory videos.  At any rate, that's where I got my understanding of Modern Warfare 3's war crimes from. Certainly, war crimes are extremely bad, but in the realm of a game, do you really think they're going to think about that aspect of things? I think they'd rather go for the "guts and glory approach" because that's what truly sells. Watching your hated enemy die in shame, seeing those bad guys suffer, that's what people seem to be going for nowadays. I even find myself cheering when a really bad guy gets what he's got coming to him in movies, TV shows, or games, and it's kind of a scary thought, especially if it is just thoughtless violence and doesn't serve a greater purpose (I am for torturing people who meet a certain set of criteria, say if they know where a girl who is buried alive is, or if they are a terrorist who knows where certain terrorist cells are).
