When I try to play a Mame game of any kind, my computer crashes. I know it is more likely my computer. But I just wanted to let you know about this issue.

Does your computer actually -crash-?  Or does the game simply not work?  If your computer actually crashes, more than likely it is indeed your computer.  Some of the arcade games don't work, but we're aware of that and working on it.

The same thing keeps happening to me. The MAME games keep screwing up in mid-game, usually not all that far in. The screen goes blank for a second and then comes back sideways or upside-down. When I do ctrl-alt-up the window shrinks to half-size and nothing can set it right again. What am I to do?

EDIT: Okay, I think I know what the problem is now. The poorly thought out control scheme for the MAME games makes it too likely that you'll end up accidentally pressing CTRL, ALT and one of the arrow keys at the same time. You have to be careful to avoid that.
