Hi! I really enjoy this site, and all the games, but I was wondering if the possibility of having older PC games on here would ever be possible? If not, that's cool! I was just curious. If anyone knows, I'd love to hear. Thanks!

Because those games are newer than the ones here, I highly doubt that it would work. Also they take up a lot of memory...

I should clarify that I am mostly wondering about older PC games. Like the ones made to be used up through windows XP or something. Because half the time, Windows 7 and Vista won't play older PC games, and there are many I'd love to play again.

Thanks!

I don't really think there's a way to integrate PC games into the way the RGR works. Think about it... the RGR plugin makes it so that games run within the web browser. How would you be able to run a full computer game within a web browser window? The way the RGR even accomplishes what it does is by creating a web-based version of an emulator and loading ROMs into it. PC games are nowhere near as uniform, so it'd be very difficult to tell the plugin what it's supposed to be loading file-wise. Each game has its own unique coding that makes it work differently than any other game. On top of this, there wouldn't be something else that would run it. It would have to run itself. Also, if your computer can't run an older PC game as it is, launching it through the browser wouldn't likely change this.

The only way you would be able to get a PC game in the RGR is if it was part of some uniform system designed to run in a browser window. No real professional games would do this to my knowledge. There has been talk of looking into GameMaker games for fan-made stuff, though.
