This post is being submitted exactly to the minute one year after I signed up.

That seems like so long ago! I found this place accidentally when I went searching for a playable online version of Contra. Although I haven't played many games (certainly not at length or in great numbers compared to all that is available here) or posted much, I quickly learned how friendly that this community is, and that is what keeps me coming back.

So, thank you to everyone: members, staff, no exceptions. It's been a nice ride so far!

BtotheH : The games are fun, the people are nice, and there are so many forums and activities that if you get bored, it's only your fault!

I am sure that you will enjoy it as much as I have. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. If I can't answer, there are 50 others who can.

Welcome!

Yes. I feel you man. I came to this site near a year and a half ago as well. I was looking up online playable games of Mario & Sonic games for consoles most sites don't have or just isn't playable on.

So far when I joined 5 days ago, it's been really fun. Even as a newbie it has been fun.

The community responds very well and there is a lot to do. With the community being so friendly as it is, it makes the forums fun.

I had a good ride so far as well. I hope things add up for you as well so you can be a long staying member.

Yeah, ditto. This site is excellent, but it should have all games, like game cube, dream cast games also, but this site is the best I have seen awhile. The games this site has is more than I can wish for. But I'm new, so you don't have to listen to what I say.

BluemageKyle : (I meant to reply earlier, but screwed up the summoning, so I edited out.) I have a thing about numbers. Primes, unusual patterns, unusual combinations, I look for them all. So, my regret was signing up a few days too late which kept me from becoming member # 150,000. I missed it by 102.

yankinapple : As The Rolling Stones once said, "You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you get what you need."

The point of allowing only "retro" games is that they have reached a point where the companies are likely not making any more money from them so not as likely to care that people are playing them for free. For games that the companies are still selling copies of, they wouldn't be happy seeing people being able to play them for free without their permission. It's the same reason you aren't allowed to put a collection of your favorite MP3s on your Facebook page for anyone to download.
