I love the Friday the 13th series. I like the main character, Jason Voorhees since he's so bad*** with his hockey mask and machete (most common) and variety of other weapons. I also like how he just appears out of nowhere and with that sound playing in the background when it notifies Jason has come.

My favorite horror movie is Tod Browning's Freaks, made in 1932. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. Browning used actual side-show freaks for the movie rather than using prosthetics and costumes. That is, you will see actual people with missing limbs and how they have adapted to life without arms, legs, or even arms and legs.

At the time I thought that the movie Black Forest was scary ~ now it's my favorite "scary" movie. I don't find it scary anymore, but awesome. They don't play it anymore as often.

Oh I love scary movies!

My absolute favorite of all time is the original Japanese Grudge (Ju-on). The American version wasn't so bad (and I don't say that often about an American version of...anything, really) but the Japanese is so very frightening.

Frankly if you really wanna be scared-really scared, not just grossed out by bloody effects and decapitation, which seems to be an American horror film go-to, try watching some of the Japanese movies on Netflicks under horror. Once you get used to the subtitles, you'll find yourself pretty darn creeped out.

I am a huge fan of scary movies. Although I would have to say that the scariest movie for me was Signs. I saw this when I was about 6 or 7 years old. Its about these aliens that invade earth, and they are hostile. They use hand to hand combat to fight, because they want the earths resources. In the movie, there was this video recording somewhere in Mexico. These children were at a birthday party, and then all of a sudden, and alien walks by the children. However, the scariest part for me was when they had the baby monitor pointed up towards the sky, and they heard the aliens talking by making clicking noises. I know it sounds stupid when I write about it, but you really do have to watch it, because aliens scare the crap out of me, so I always enjoy watching Signs.
