I've never read these books. What makes you all enjoy it so much? I'm not saying that in a "oh this sucks" way, but in a way in which I can get a feel for the novels and see if I want to read them myself.

I never found a real interest in the book series.
I did read one of them but found it some what boring at best.
Not my type of read sadly. ( I prefer the fantasy / Sci-Fi genre. )
