You have to input the blitz commands as you are selecting Sabin after selecting the blitz command. as for the commands, The basic directional buttons can work with blitz, but the diagonal buttons needed for the more advanced Blitz's are impossible with out a controller as far as I can tell.

Now now, the Diagonal Blitz aren't impossible, they are indeed very difficult, but you have to hit the arrow keys at the same time per diagonal. e.g. Rising Phoenix's Right, Diag. Down Right, Down, Diag. Down Left, Left.. It can be done, once you get the hang of it it becomes a lot easier. Hope this helps ^^

Ok here is the solution

anything diagonal is two different choices of what button to press

i.e aura cannon is down, diagonal left down, left
but if you think that is impossible your wrong!
the second step to aura cannon can be either left or down.
according to what direction the diagonal arrow go's gives you two button options.
i.e diagonal up left: either left or up
diagonal up right: either right or up
diagonal down left: either left or down
diagonal down right: either right or down
