It isn't vizzed friendly to give notifications when you get TP taken away. There would be a fight over on the board if notifications from TP taken away were allowed on the board. It can also lead to spam posts, spam comments, rage threads, and even some rage posts and comments.

So vizzed can't allow that here.

The Trust Point system is flawed in that it is now just a popularity contest. Someone can just get upset that you said something they strongly disagree with in the debate forum and decide to mark you down. It sucks, but it is how it is. But Stevie is right in that if people knew who took points away from them, it would just end up in flame wars, people getting all their friends to mark them down as retaliation, and it would just be a mess. 

At some point, the system will get redone to make it harder for this problem to happen. Probably make it to where you need to do more than just be a Trusted Member to take away points. That is just one of the ideas.

darthyoda : Yeah, I am pretty sure that she got marked down partly from people who were being poor sports about her doing so well in Tour de Vizzed month. Ridiculous. But as far as what you are wondering, that would require adding a feature where people would have to type in a reason for taking points away. Since that isn't a feature, there is no way to know unless you know exactly who took points away from you

I can't say who took your Trust Points away or why, but I will say that worrying about them won't do anything for you. I've lost tonnes of Trust Points just due to users who don't like me. It happens. Worrying about it and talking about Trust Points only makes people want to take them from you more. The most common reasons that people take Trust Points away from you are either making spammy posts--this is what got Singelli I'm sure; getting angry at someone else on the board; and asking for Trust Points--this is the best way to get downvoted into oblivion. Once you ask one person for Trust Points, they give you the highest negative score they can, and tell all of their friends about it who do the same thing.

Also, it's harder to earn Trust Points than it is to loose them. But that's just human nature. We like to let others know when we dislike something, but we're not so keen on letting others know we appreciate what they've done. But like I said, don't worry about it. The only real bonus to being a Trusted Member is that you get to use the full layout editor. Other than that it's really nothing special.
