If you are obsessed with shooters, but wish you could do something more creative than blasting away at swarms of enemies, this should interest you.

Dezaemon was a game released in Japan on the Nintendo Famicom.

It was a shooting game editor.

Dezaemon 2 was the Saturn version of this program. It never got commercialized out of Japan.
Today you can find a whole community of Dezaemoners (mainly jap) online. I just found out about this, so I am a bit limited at the moment as for the details, but if you can manage the small bit of japanese language in there, this looks really promising.

then select Dezaemon 2 on the page and press Download.
