As of right now you can probably see that I am new to this forum. I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread that focused on building up the community. So if you are a "veteran" on this forum then us new members would love some knowledge on how things work and what you most enjoy on this website. Also something you know that could be helpful, or something you wish someone told you when you were new. Thank you for your time and enjoy.


Lastly if you were to find this thread helpful in anyway let the person that was helpful know. This will only make the community grow stronger and bring everyone closer together.

TheScrub55 : Here's some tips: (1) You want to use proper grammar. It's like, "You must dress, to impress." You have to also use proper grammar so people understand you too. (2) If people in the RGR or polls/threads are looking for help help them. If a TM (Trusted Member) notices, you may be give some TP (Trusted Points)! But you also want to do it just to do the right thing. Karma, right? (3) Try to actively post. When you post a lot people will get to know you and you get to know them!  Thus you make friends! It also will get you post EXP (Experience) and increase your post count! (4) Never be afraid to ask the site staff, or members for help. I made the mistake of thinking I'd be made fun of and had to learn everything the hard way- basically learning how to post, make layouts (Which I still struggle with), and make threads. I constantly had my threads be moved because I at first didn't know where to go to select where I'd have my thread/poll be in and would look for a random thread and looked for,"New Thread." And so you don't make that mistake at the very top of the page there is a "Board" option right after the "Retro Game Room" link (It's in green in case you get confused!) .
