This is the way I do it, others may have a different method. Many of you might know this already but for those of you who dont, look on.

You will need the following:

14 empty buckets
1x mining pick (bronze will do)
30gold (if you already have some buckets then it will be less)

MAP:


Start in varrok, clear your inventory but leave 30gold and equip a mining pick. Go to the general store near the waterfountain and purchase 14 empty buckets with your gold coins, drop whatever money is left because youll be making a lot more money shortly.

Go to the water fountain in the centre of the cross road, fill up your buckets with water.

Head to the mining location south west of varrock (Ive shown you on my map) There are 3 clay piles to mine, choose one and mine the remaining 14 slots in your inventory.

Highlight a peice of clay in your inventory and then click on a water bucket, right click what comes up in your dialougue box and select "make all". This will turn all the clay in your inventory into soft clay.

Go store the soft clay in your bank and repeat this again re-using the buckets. When you have 14 more soft clay, go back to the bank, store it and withdraw the 28 soft clay as a note.

Head to the Grand Exchange north of the bank and sell your soft clay for the minimum sell price (about 170gold each). This should make at least 4.5K If you sell it at the minimum price it will be sold almost instantly.

There you go, with practice you can do this in under 5 minutes.

is 5000 gold a lot?

I haven't played so I don't know but that seems kinda silly to be able to make that much money in that short of a time period.... unless things are REALLY expensive in this game.

5k is a decent amount to make, esspecially in 5 minutes.

ah, get rich quick schemes for mmo's. good times, good times. anyway, I wish I had known that when I still played (like 3 or 4 years ago...). I was lucky to have "inherited" a character who had money and items that I could trade for a lot of money and other good things (he was a member or whatever it's called)

One thing I learned back in the days when I played Runescape:

(You'd need specific levels to do these)

Membership = Flax, Fletching Skill.
Flax -> Bowstrings
Bowstrings -> Fletching
Fletching -> Profit.

You can, of course, skip the Fletching part and just sell the bowstrings.

You WILL need a lot of bowstrings to sell them, though.

I sell pure essence for 100k so my character has a lot of money but I got bored of the game.

Hm... 5k in 5 minutes? Geez. That's pretty decent, but I got really bored of RS really quickly.

Anyway, this money making thing is a pretty good set of information.

That actually seems like a good thing to do. To bad I stopped playing Rune Scape a few years ago.
