I figured I'd make a little game here on Vizzed to have some fun and allow people to win some Viz in the process. This game follows the basic premise of the classic gameshow, Name That Tune, but with a video game music theme. Basically, I am going to synthesize the first 5 seconds of a video game song. It's your job to identify that song. If you get the game it's from correct, you win 500 Viz. If you get the game AND actual name of the theme (or where it plays if it doesn't have an official name), you get double points (so 1,000 Viz).

Full rules

-Only the first person to answer correctly will win any Viz.
-If you get one correct, you cannot answer the next 2 songs posted (so if you got #1 right, you're not eligible to play again until #4). This is done to spread around winners a bit.


To spice things up a bit, if you fully correct (meaning game+title), you can opt for a double-or-nothing round. If you chose this, a correct answer will earn you 2,000 Viz instead of the normal 1,000. If you are incorrect, however, you get nothing. Choose wisely on this gamble. Note that no one is allowed to answer a double-or-nothing song except for the specific person it's for.

Also note that you have to claim the double-or-nothing option IN your answer post. This is to help speed things up. If you don't say anything, I'll assume you don't want to try for that.

This is more than likely wrong but Sonic 2: Emerald City Hill Zone. It just for some reason sounds a little bit like it. I know the tone you're playing but I can't place it if that's not it.

Would you like to try for double-or-nothing or just take the 1000 viz?

Already I can see a problem here. Although this game will be really fun and has fair rules, the double-or-nothing can slow down the pace of the game. For example, I want to try myself at the next song, but it is held out because I have to wait for realbrickz to reply on whether he wants to go for the double or nothing thing, which could take minutes, or hours. Then again, the same could be said for anyone's activity, in which I can't control or force on. I don't mean any disregard, I'm just putting up my 2 cents.

Darkpower508 : I see your point. I just wanted to try the double-or-nothing option to make it more interesting. Perhaps I should make a stipulation from now on that you have to declare it when you actually give the answer and if you qualify, I'll present you with one. Otherwise, I'll move on. Do you think that would work better?

I don't want to do double or nothing, I'm actually surprised I got it right. Feel mega accomplished and I'll quit while I'm ahead. Thanks for the opportunity though.
