Legacy of the Wizard is my favorite. But of course I also love the Zelda and Mario games. Kirby is a great game too as are all the Lolo games. Can't go wrong with Dragon Warriors and Dragon Quest games series, Metroid, Casino Kid, Moon Crystal, Rainbow Islands, Batman, Startropics(I've only played the first game but there's two games), Destiny of an Emperor, Cocoron, Little Magic, Little Mermaid Castlevania Tetris and Megaman.

But once again if you want to try a new NES game try Legacy of the Wizard. I really love that game.

Oh Faria is a great game especially if you like Unique RPGs as well. It has a great plot twist later on in the game too which I won't spoil for you!

I'm not a huge fan of the NES era, more like the SNES, but NES did have some great games I still like to play. The original Final Fantasy being one of them( even though the remakes for GBA/PSP have been better), along with Adventure of Link and the good old original Super Merio Bros. I could mention Metroid, but I always found that first game to be a little too difficult for my tastes. Love Metroid II though, one of the best GB games for me.
