Playing at Normal Speed?
Can anything stop the game from running at more than twice its original speed?

Although games like Pokémon for the most part are playable with faster speeds, it's suicide to play games like Sonic at faster speeds.  Is it possible to change the speed to be at least normal?  The only time where the game seems to play at its intended speed would be when it is lagging.  The fact that the games need to be played at least twice their original speeds is extremely frustrating, and even ruined making Pokéblocks for me.  Is this maybe due to what emulator I'm using?  I've looked through several different parts of the message board and nobody has found this a problem (that I've seen).  Is there something that I'm missing?

If your useing Vizzed emulator then the answer is simple - Dont press the space bar

The space bar speeds up the game so the game resualting to be 2x faster

If it's another emulator then there shouldnt be a speed up on it, or atleast from what ive seen

What pokemon games do you play?

Right now the issue is with sonic advance (1&2).  I can live without Pokéblocks.  I've watched videos with normal speed and this appears to be so much faster...  I know that the space bar speeds stuff up, but it's more like 4X normal speed...  It can't possibly be that my computer is so epically fast...
