I've actually been on Vizzed for about a month now, and I haven't made any real introduction until now. So... Hello.
I've been into emulation for about five years now. It all started when I realized that Metal Gear for the NES was a difficult game to find, since there was nary a copy to find in any online marketplace, and I didn't have the $60 to shell out for the one I did find. It all just spiralled out of control from there.

I have to say I really enjoy what's going on with this site. Not only is there a wide variety of ROMs, homebrews and hacks for the games we all know and love, but there's a few gems that I didn't expect to see here, like the TG16 port of Splatterhouse. My girlfriend still loves watching me cause over-the-top pixelated blood and gore.

I'm also pretty impressed that there's support and ROMs for the MSX, C64 and the Famicom. I tried emulators for those in the past, but for whatever reason it never worked quite as well as it does on this site. And I can't wait for the Sega-CD and MAME emulators to go public, since that'll save me a LOT of hard drive space.

Before you ask, my favourite consoles are the Genesis, the Famicom, the Super NES/Famicom and the N64. My favourite genres are action, adventure, RPG, fighting and anything horror-related.

I hope to have a very long and wonderful stay in this community, and I can't wait to see where the site will go from here.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to play some Clock Tower.

Hey, welcome to the forums.

I also use this site because of a lack of ability to find certain games in physical form. I think most impressive to me was how smooth the RGR's TG16 emulator ran. That was the system I've tried emulating in the past with poor success. I mean... games usually ran... but didn't emulate all that well or the emulators were just a pain to use. RGR's runs flawlessly in what little I've tried of it.

I hope you keep having fun here and if you need any help, don't be afraid to ask.

Thanks all.

Crazy Li : I'm glad I'm not the only one who has problems with TG16 emulation.

Black Bot : I'm glad you asked.
Clock Tower, or Clock Tower: The First Fear, is a Super NES game that came out in 1995, right before the system's lifespan was up. It's a survival-horror point-and-click adventure game. The basic plot is you control a 14-year-old girl named Jennifer, who was adopted along with three other girls by Simon Barrows, a wealthy landowner who lives in the Barrows Mansion. Things go wrong quickly, and Jennifer must find a way out of the mansion while evading Bobby, a nine-year-old demon child with a gigantic pair of scissors.

The game does feel a bit slow, mostly because Jennifer doesn't move very fast (until Bobby shows up!) But the ambiance, and the sound design, are pretty impressive for 1995. Also I'm half-certain that the game can change things on you each time you play; here was murderous hand in a mirror that was never there, and I nearly messed myself because of it. If you like survival horror or old-timey point-and-click, I'd day give it a shot.

Oh, and I'd love a cookie.
Thanks all.

AdamBlackthorne : Thanks for replying! Do you know anything about the Dolphin Emulator? It's because it is not working correctly.

Oldschool41 : You're probably the first person I've met who's a fan of survival horror. Awesome.

Black Bot : I honestly wish I did,but I probably don't know much more about it than you. But the idea of HD Umbrella Chronicles without having to buy a Playstation Move is compelling. Sadly, my knowledge of coding is, shall we say... slim to none. -.-

darthyoda : Thanks. No questions at the moment, but I'll be sure to let you know if I have any.
