 I would have to say I don't prefer one over another due to the fact that they are kind of on different sides of the spectrum. If I had to Pick though it would be the Japanese Light Novels of High School DxD. The novels are amazing and the second season of the anime is going to really make Issei a beast!

I say manga since they have pictures and you really can't get board but books are good too but it depends if its a fiction adventure plus action I'll read it everytime

I prefer to read books.
The only manga I like is Ocarina of Time Manga.
I've read the Majora's Mask manga, it was pretty good, but my favorite is Ocarina of Time.

I prefer to read large books, with at least 500 pages. The only book I've read so far that I dislike was a biography of Harry S. Truman.
The setting kept changing, one minute Truman is on a train with his wife and daughter, next page he's giving a speech, next page back on the train on the way to give the speech.
I only managed to read 12 pages, I thought it was pretty horrible.

I find myself reading both books and manga, but over the last couple of years I've been finding myself reading less books and more manga.  So I would probably have to say manga.  Though I also seem to find myself slowing filtering in regular comic books as well, such as starting the amazing spider-man series over from scratch.  I think I'm on issue 40 or so now.
