This game is one of the few masterpieces I've ever played, and ever will play. So much effort went into devising the plot for this game, it goes very, very in depth. It also morphs the player's point of view, it shifts their feeling and insight to Samus, who undergoes some phenomenal changes in Metroid Fusion. In the previous games in the Metroid saga, Samus was equipped with all of her abilities- but now, you have very little to defend yourself with, leaving the player watching in despair as they enter into heated combat. The in-depth story line takes many sudden twists and turns- some even sparking fear into the player's mind. Feelings of triumph, worry, controversy and secrecy make the jerking story line one of the best elements of the game. But the story is accompanied by excellent graphics- It's not 1080p HD or anything, but for that small amount of pixels on that small screen, they managed to work in as much detail as possible. The detail of the enemies and the stage were impeccable. When traveling throughout the BSL station, many different events take place that make changes to the stage itself; things like explosions, plant infestations, and mass destruction. On the journey throughout the station, Samus also undergoes many changes- accommodated by amazing graphics makes the game much more enjoyable. This isn't one of your average run-n'-gun shoot em' up games, instead it is a thrilling masterpiece of a story weaved into a game with amazing graphics and sound- sound that would grip the player's heart with emotion. During cutscenes and missions, the music changes to set the mood, whether that should be triumph, seriousness, or fear. The game is very addicting; The enticement of getting a special ending when all items are collected encourages players to repeat the game until they finally can say they "beat" the game. And even then, I would play the game again simply because it is so well done, and for the story. The game is very hard to fully complete, but skimming along the basics of the game will allow you to finish in about 3.5 hours on average. There are a lot of items to get, most of them are well hidden, and most you can't get to until later in the game, and are forgotten. There are several boss battles in which many people get stuck, but it becomes easy when you learn to exert the A.I.'s flaws. The game itself is pretty big, if you count all the total stage blocks, it becomes a very big environment when proportionally basing of of the size of the character. The system is intelligent and only allows access into certain areas at certain points in the game. One can very easily get stuck if they slip up or do something wrong. The game has a lot to offer- interactive environments that really put the game in to the player's control, and a massive stage that soaks up every last bit of the player's attention. I highly recommend this game to thrill-seekers and Metroid lovers alike, you'll be in for a wild ride of a game that you can't put down.
