There are lots of tools that can help you do this, the biggest tool being other users who know how to hack games. We don't have many here on Vizzed but there are other forums very similar to Vizzed that are dedicated to ROM hacking. They have dedicated hacking utilities, tutorials and everything you need to get started.

Now, I can't link to these other sites due to the fact that they don't generally like the type of users we accept here on Vizzed, but if you search the Google box for [your game] hacking community, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.

By the way, a lot of first time hackers produce poorly coded, poorly received games. Don't give up hope, you are still learning. Just take any criticism you receive in stride, and try to make your game better. A great journey of heartbreak and adventure lie before you, are you a bad enough dude to hack a ROM?
