There could be a number of reasons. For one, no two browsers work the same. They all handle website code and process elements differently, which causes different experiences in some sites. It's really difficult to make some sites compatible with everything.

Sometimes browsers have settings or add-ons that block features on sites and can interfere with stuff like logins. I have no idea of such a thing exists in Chrome... but FireFox has the notorious Noscript add-on which pretty much says "no" to everything and completely cripples your browser experience under the pretense of security. Sure, you'll browse safer... but by not being able to browse :p

I don't know what was happening earlier but its sorted now,
I thought it was to do with the browsers but it wasn't 100%
I'm back on Google Chrome. But what was happening I tried to
change my password and my display picture at the same time and
then got logged out and couldn't log back in on the same browser.
But I managed to change both now at separate times and all is working fine
so this thread can be deaded by a moderator when they see fit.
