Humans eat meat in Pokemon, but you don't see any cattle, so is it Pokemon?

Well I was sitting here watching Pokémon. Then I started thinking, they eat meat. This struck me as weird since they do not have any cows, deer, etc. So what is it they are eating. Are they eating the Tauros. There is many of them and they are like cows/bulls. So what do you think?

I think they are eating some milktank, because milktank have a lot of fat and nutrients in it body like most cow. Also milktank is the closest thing to a cow.

Milktank is my best guess for beef-based products. They might also eat some of the bird types like Psyduck for poultry. You never know with fictional worlds like that. They kinda just wing it most of the time. I remember in the game, Tales of Eternia, they had an enemy called "Egg Bear". All the meat in the world apparently was just Egg Bear meat. You can do stuff like make a hamburger out of it. It was really weird.

I can't remember what the episode was called but Ash and company run into Gary on Cinnabar Island (if I remember correctly) and he is at a fancy hotel and is talking about his fancy dinner and such when it shows a cooked Magikarp on the screen. I was honestly kind of taken back, because I always felt like nothing bad like that should happen to Pokémon but then I remembered that they kind of are their versions of animals so I guess it is okay? lol I really don't like to think about it so I don't much talk about it.

XxEzraxX : Remember that one episode where Jessie, James and meowth (I cant COMPLETELY remember if ash misty and Brock were there but I think they were) and they have this magikarp that James had gotten from that guy who keeps showing up trying to rip James off since he is not brightest person on the show (Many can agree with me lol) and the magikarp was in the middle of the raft they were on and then Brock thought of how he could cook the magikarp and so did James (Then again they couldve all thought of it... I don't remember that episode real well) and then they go after it trying to eat it. The someone speaks up saying that magikarp is only made of bone and scales, James kicks magikarp for being so useless, magikarp evolves, gayrodos calls others, they use dragon dance, Ash and rest fly off one direction, and Jessie and James in the other. Making them lose their pokemon by going another way. Fun episode really because it is the only one where the Pokémon talk

Well, Pokémon constantly references real world animals every now and then. Even though we never really see them except for example the third episode where we see a Pidgeotto eat a worm (or whatever episode it was when Ash caught a Caterpie), and then there's a statue of a Kabutops stabbing a giant fish, and Team Rocket always mentions real world foods half the time which you can see in their visions as well that would require real world animals.


That said and done, I think I do remember the episode that showed the cooked Magikarp, so who knows really. Pokémon as a whole is known to have seriously a lot of errors. And I mean seriously a LOT of errors at least in the first few couple hundred episodes.
