It's a fight between the Tales of series and Star Ocean. There is a common element between those two series though -- they have music composed by Motoi Sakuraba. The music in those games makes you WANT to get into battles often, especially the boss battles. I recently bought the soundtrack to Tales of Abyss and it has some of Motoi's best work.
