One of the late and greats, Pokémon Yellow Version. This version came out a few years after Red and Blue here in America took off, and also a few years after Red and Green in Japan (Blue also was released a few years later in Japan Green is our Blue). What can I say about this fantastic game that everyone else hasn't already? This game was designed for the audience to play more like the anime, however it was still more manga based the only real differences were that now Pikachu is your only starter Pokémon and when you select your name you will notice that Ash is on the list and for your rival Gary is on the list.

Now the game play, this game is exactly like Red and Blue version when it comes to game play. There are new sprites for Pokémon however, and they look more updated and have a more closer feel to the Pokémon then earlier version did. Certain glitches no longer work correctly in an attempt from Gamefreak and Nintendo to try to get rid of any bugs they may have put into the game, for example if you try to access Missingno. your game may freeze and you will have to reset the Rom. However, the Mew glitch is still in the game.

A few things that you can do in the game, that a few people don't know; if you jump over a ledge and don't move (do not let Pikachu jump with you) after a few seconds or maybe a minute goes by Pikachu will start to do a little dance, also at the beginning of the game if you turn to Pikachu and press the A button, you will notice Pikachu doesn't really care to highly of you. Well, you can fix that, open your menu and your bag use a potion on it repeatedly even though it has full health. After doing that about a million times if you turn to Pikachu and press A now he will suddenly like/love you at one point he will even jump around and shoot hearts from his head.

Now onward to my ratings of this game, this game got a 10 from me. It is directly from my childhood and it was an amazing game especially for it being just a tiny bit different than the original 2 (3 in Japan). The graphics, sound and the addictiveness of the game got straight 10s as well. The overworld graphics are the same as Red and Blue, but as for the Pokémon Sprites they where changed and I must say they look a lot better in my opinion. The sound remained the same in Yellow as it did the originals, and we all know that Pokémon music was just the best. Pokémon music = great time! And as for the addictiveness, you play this game and tell me how long you have been playing it and why. I bet you will admit to it being one of the greatest games you have ever played, and it is amazing because it is only a regular game boy game.

The depth and the difficulty of the game I gave both a 5, because like the original games it really wasn't that hard or that long of a game. Yet somehow it was an amazing game to play, and everyone should love and appreciate it.

This was the first ever game I got for GBC... brings back memories. Nice review. In your little tricks section, I have another: you can actually separate yourself from Pikachu. I forget what town it is, but there's a Jigglypuff in one of the PokeCenters. Talk to it and it will sing. Pikachu will fall asleep and you can actually now walk around without him following you around and then leave the PokeCenter.

Oh yeah it is the one in Pewter City, I completely forgot about that little trick. XP thank you very much.

Mine was Red version, but when I finally got to play Yellow I had so much fun. I loved the sprite differences in Yellow over Red/Blue.

I hate Pokemon Yellow, because of that damn yellow rat of death. (Pikachu) You know, it would be fine to seperate from him but it doesn't mean for him to be with you the whole damn game with the rat in these games:

Pokemon Channel (It will make you so angry you would want to punch a Siberian tiger in the freaking butt. Gotta love AVGN quotes.)
Pokemon Dash (Dead skunk and dog poop combined.)
Pokepark 1 & 2 (I'd rather go 100mph on a horse jumping crates and getting shot at.)

Those 3 pokemon games, Hey You Pikachu, and Pikemon Yellow, stay the he'll away from them Nevada I can't stop raging from that rat. Like seriously, stop using him in the next games and I WILL BE ALL SET. Clear, Nintendo???

Although I understand that everyone has his/her own opinion, I just wanted to make a few points and statements if you don't care to hear them then don't read this post. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion (like stated above), however your opinion shouldn't turn into a speech that tries to convert other peoples opinions into ones own. Pokémon is just Pokémon, started as a manga and ended up being a child's television show and a few video games. If you really don't like PIkachu that much, it is cool and all. However, I think that, since you don't like Pikachu, you probably shouldn't post something like that were it obviously doesn't even belong. This thread is a game that is kind of centered around Pokémon, and was a review for the very same game wouldn't you think that it would be a good idea to kind of just avoid the thread altogether? Please keep in mind that I am not trying to start any kind of argument with anyone, I don't need to do that. I was just kind of throwing out my own opinion of a post within a thread that I created. Just one more thing, and again I am not trying to argue or anything, but if one is "anti-Pikachu" wouldn't one stay away from most things Pikachu related? I understand not liking a Pokémon, but don't you think that posting pictures of Pikachu with a red No symbol thing just kind of increasing the popularity of the creature that you hate and that you still perpetuating it as a Pokémon? Why not just simply take away everything around you that has said Pokémon, in this case Pikachu, and just get rid of them and never speak about Pikachu? Thank you if you listened, and I hope that my opinion does not offend anyone, if it does I am terribly sorry that is absolutely not the reason I posted all of this.
