Hi! I'm Shells!
I found this website recently, and I still haven't worked my way through most of my favorite games yet!  I have been getting stuck on the Dizzy game, I used to play it when I was little, and I have been trying to figure out how to get past the mines.  I know there was a trick to it, but I just can't remember. All i know is, every time I hear the music from it, I get flooded with wonderful memories of playing it with my brother, and beating him on every puzzle and mini-game! (He's 6 years older than I am).

Are there any games that you'd recommend? Any new games I have never played? Any advice on how to get through Dizzy? I will more than welcome anyone that has advice on this, due to the fact that I am quite out of my element.

I'd also like to invite someone to answer this strange question. Did they ever come out with a kind of "Mrs. Dizzy" game? I distinctly remember there being an egg with a bow on her head, but it could have been something else.

Hello and welcome!

To be honest, I've never even heard of the Dizzy series before your post. The internets tells me that it's probably because it was on the Commodore64 and ZX Spectrum. I never touched those. The only 80s games I've ever played were NES games. As for the character with the bow in her hair, that's apparently Dora who is the sister of Daisy (Dizzy's girlfriend who you're supposed to save). As far as skimming Wikipedia goes, none of the games likely have anyone but Dizzy playable. The rest of the characters are probably just side characters.

You may wanna check out other games in the series anyway to see what they're about. It seems there are a number of spin-offs as well that are more puzzle focused. There was also a program released called "DizzyAGE" that allows fans to make their own Dizzy-styled games. Maybe there are some neat fan games floating around out there.

Also check out the Seymour series because Wiki says it's similar and made by the same company :o
