I did the majority of my drawing using just two tools. The line-draw tool (located within the circle icon) is what I used for drawing all of my lines as well as the shading/highlighting. The paintbrush is the other tool I used, which is what I colored in each area with before shading/highlighting.

(The other tools that I used were the circle-draw to help draw in the pupils, and the stamp creator to create a few colors such as the highlighting on Tails' orange fur).

Perhaps you could try experimenting with the line-draw in particular and see what you can come up with.

It's fun to see other people's pictures regardless of how good or bad they think they are, so don't be shy people!

If yours turns off even when it is plugged in, then it's probably a different problem.

Bleh... I haven't had enough time this month to do a legit drawing. I was planning on drawing some sort of scene with Blaze, Cream, and Marine... just 'cause almost all these entries are just Sonic and we need some love for other characters.

All I got done was the Green Hill Zone like background and Blaze's shoes, though >.>

It's interesting how some people choose to draw the classic Sonic and others draw the more modern Sonic. It's like you can tell their personal preference from their drawing.

That's basically my method here is to do everything on a pixel-by-pixel basis to create something more akin to sprites. That's why I'm going controller rather than mouse. Using the mouse is too similar to trying to draw with a pencil in the way that it works in this game. I can't actually do precise pixel art with the Mario Paint mouse the way it moves. It's nothing like how the mouse works for me in like MSPaint for example.

I'll hopefully finish it some day and submit it as a screenshot on the game page (Joystick version) so I guess look for that. Would be silly to post in this thread after the contest ends though.
