In this competition you will try to draw the best drawing you can of Sonic the Hedgehog using Mario Paint:

Rules:
-The drawing can be of anything just as long as it involves Sonic in some way
-No more than 3 submissions per a user
-Be sure to give each of your submissions a title
-You MUST use the Vizzed RGR Plugin to take the screenshots
The Screenshot you submit has to be a screenshot you took with the RGR Plugin and the URL of the image has to be the same url of the image of the screenshot you took, you cannot upload your screenshot somewhere else and use that as your submission, you have to use the actual url of the images that were uploaded when you took the screenshots.
-If you can get the mouse to work, you may use the Mouse enabled version of Mario Paint found here:

(you have to make adjustments from the menu and it only works in IE and FF)


TIP: You have to click Mario with the A key in order to start
TIP2: Although the original game required a mouse, this version you can simply use your keyboard arrows (or controller d-pad if you're using a controller)

1st = 10,000 Viz
2nd = 2,500 Viz
3rd = 1,000 Viz

I could also get the mouse version of the game to work in Google Chrome.

ESC > CONFIG > DEVICES > change PORT 1 to MOUSE

rcarter2's picture for last year is pretty impressive, especially using something so primitive as Mario Paint. I'll have to see how well I can do with it.

I'm really glad that you said we can use the mouse version. Now I just hope my file doesn't get corrupted before I finish it like the Christmas picture contest using that ACME version.

What was the picture last year? Was it Master Chief, or was there another one?

Hola! I am a newb to Vizzed RGR, but this site has become my new love! You're doing a great thing and I'm glad to see all these great games again. Anyways, here is 1 of my sonic snapshots. I used my Xbox 360 controller joystick until I read you could get the mouse to work. So, my 2nd submission will be done with my mouse.

I tried to put the picture in here, but it is not working for me right now. We are allowed up to 3 submissions right?

TheRealDeel : Well crap... that's way better than I can do! I probably won't be able to submit anything remotely competitive to this competition. I'm not good at arting. I was interested, but seeing a submission this good so early makes me suspect I don't have a chance

Even with really advanced image editing software, I can barely make something that looks as legitimately Sonic as that, so I can only imagine what will happen in a game like Mario Paint ._.

Here is my second and final submission, done with my mouse! Took me about 3 hours.

survyguy79 : Nope, I don't. But, I went to high school specifically for visual arts and had to audition and all that. Studied there for four years and now I go to college to make video games! Thanks so much though, glad you like it!

Looks like TheRealDeel is bringing in some competition. Love it! I got a couple ideas. Just need to find the time to work on them. I'll definitely have to use save states to my advantage to just do little bits at a time.

Greetings and salutations, fellow contestants! Since the Sega CD is coming to Vizzed, I thought I'd Make my first screenshot for this contest (and in fact my first screenshot ever) A replica of Sonic CD's fifth hidden message.














I don't think It's that great actually, but for my first time using Mario paint, I guess it came out ok. Plus it was fun to fiddle around with.
