Hello all, I recently discovered this terrific website.
I am a mechanical engineering student during the school year and an amusement park ride operator in the summer.
My favorite video game series are: F-Zero, Donkey Kong Country, Mega Man, Metroid, and Mario platformers/kart/sports games.

Sometimes I like being an engineer, but other times, well...not so much. Its rewarding, but highly demanding. I've actually always wanted to design roller coasters, but I've found I'm not really very good at designing things for a variety of reasons. I feel that my gifts lie in the quality control, test engineering, materials engineering side of things. Also, I'm not sure on where I want to work, probably wherever I can get a job in this economy.

Fair enough, that's sort of the reason why I didn't become an engineer.... I just didn't feel like I was creative enough to be one. I know there are other things you can do with an engineering degree but I just decided it wasn't gonna work out for me.

And yeah, first year out of college and in this kind of an economy it isn't worth being picky about your job possibilities.

I have a 60+ hour a week job now, and don't have easy internet access, so that's why I've kind of disappeared. I should be able to get on here once ever 2 weeks at least, but I won't have regular internet access until late August when I go back to college.
