I was just wondering why quite a few of these games are in a different language. It would make it a lot more interesting and maybe more fun if we / I could understand what is going on. I am not trying to be hateful in any way. Was just wanting to clarify. Letting my son know that a game is awesome to play would be a Godsend. Thank you for the great games you provide.

Why wouldn't some of these games be in a different language? We have some members who speak other languages originally, and also, Davideo just takes a whole bunch of games and stuffs them on here. There's plenty that are in English that you could find for your son, the majority of them are in English. I don't really understand how you're having a problem with it at all.

Also, you should try to be more descriptive with your titles. Offering so little information is spammy and these threads tend to get overlooked and ignored.

You don't need to know the language of the game in the most part of the cases (Only in certain games, such as RPG's.) 

Well mostly because they can't find certain games on here that have an English patch like a lot of the Japanese gameson here.

Dismantle :  You have to understand that this is not a strictly American website.  People all around the world have the right to enjoy these games.   Not to mention that some of these games having been developed in foreign countries were never transcribed to English.  

I didn't mean to upset anyone. I realize now I was mistaken for asking such a self explanatory question. I guess a bit of my immaturity was showing that night. I apologize to all of who make this website so great and to all its faithful users. I will have a legitimate thread whenever I decide to post in the future.

I honestly think that the previous posts were a little bit harsh. I'll elaborate on what I think they were trying to say, only in a nicer way. The games that are put on here are simple ROMs from other places. We don't actually make the ROMs, so we don't really have a way of editing them to translate them. So for those particular games, they just have to be played in their original format. Luckily, the amount of games that re not translated are a very small percentage. For the most part, I would have to actually search for those games specifically for me to come across them  The fact that you seem to have come across more than a few just casually actually baffles me.

I really do not think it was harsh in any way. I mean, I gave props to pretty much everyone here. I asked a simple question
just wanting to know a simple answer and I get a few "harsh" responses. Kind of makes we not want to post anything anymore. I know it's not strictly an American site. And I don't believe I am spamming. I've seen a few board discussion topics with only two words. Anyways,  I still enjoy this website. As always, thank you for providing these great classics. My son and I enjoy them immensely.

Don't be discouraged from posting; I don't think anyone who responded in here was all that offended, and if they were, that's silly and it's not your fault. You said you didn't mean your question hatefully and they had no reason to assume you did.

As for you saying you don't think you're spamming, I agree! You're not spamming at all. I just meant that your title for the thread was a bit spammy. Threads that are titled just "Question" or "Help" and things like that get overlooked a lot by users that are able to help because it's usually just a spammy thread, haha. I meant it as helpful advice, not as snarky critique. =)

Also, you should play Joe & Mac with your son. I used to play that with my big brother when I was younger, it was a lot of fun! It's the first game I think of when I think of playing a game as a younger kid with someone older (followed closely by Turtles in Time!). If you do try them, let me know what you guys think!

I thank you all for your input. It is much appreciated. As I am sure I said before, I come here everyday. Can't seem to get enough of all of these wonderful classics. Feels like everyday I am surprised.
