You said you banned save states, but how are you able to tell if someone used it? I mean, I suppose you could tell sometimes if, in this example, someone had suspiciously a lot of lives and such a high score, as well as a few other signs maybe...

If it's the honor code, that's commendable, but seems like that could backfire easily considering this is the internet.

I want to make a club that includes all of us where we can talk and orderly make highscore or fastest times competitions. I thought of a perfect name for it, club emerald dive! What do you think EVERYONE is invited! And it would be nice to be able to work together. PLEASE tell me your thoughts! I would appreciate them greatly.


ruesen : It doesn't matter what their live count is, or what there score is, I would know immediately if they cheated. The competitors MUST submit their score in the 'compete for highscore' box  on the game page. If you still have any questions PM me (as to not clog up this thread) I will be happy to answer any questions you have.

bombchu link: I'm sorry I could not do the contest. I was so busy doing my reviews that I did not have time to post a score. :'( I will help you with the club though. I will be on as much as possible for it.

Here's an idea for a speed run

Super Mario Kart, pick a certain track and then ask people to try to make their best time on it.

I hope theses games are good for future contests.

bombchu link : I think it is a great idea to have a Club and I think the Club's name should be "Super Emerald Club". For the next Contest can we have a Mario Kart 64 Contest where we pick a track and beat it in the fastest time as possible. I think everyone should do the same track to make the Contest fair. What do you think to have our first non-Sonic and our first non-High Score Contest to be Mario Kart 64?

G@mehe@d : I like all your ideas except Sonic the hedgehog. I very much dislike the whole grinding 'gig' and (at least for sonic games) the contests should revolve around Fastest times, NOT grinding in marble zone!

I have already PMed MegaRevolution1 to ask if we can put our clubs base in her forum and after I get the go-ahead I will make the main thread.

Maybe you guys already knew this but, the name "emerald dive" is Sonic's hyper technique from Sonic the Fighters,
although I think Super Emerald sounds better.
I think the club should circle around Sonic games mostly, but Mario Kart and other games should be welcome as well.
If your in the club then you can be summoned to competitions in the club right? 'cause that would be a great benefit!
I REALLY like the idea of a competition club like this so count me in!
