Is it possible to use  USB Nintendo Controllers that can be ordered online with Emulators or are we stuck with using the keyboards?

I use a USB controller I ordered from amazon for the retro game room and it works just great. It also only cost around $10 including shipping and handling and its basically a PS2 controller but with an off-brand. I would assume Nintendo ones would also work fine.

This thread may have been better made in the retro game room forum , people may have had a quicker and better answer for you there.

I guess it sounds easier then using the keyboard, anyway. Like for Pokemon stadium 2, I love the game but it's hard to play w/o a controller.

ChaoticMonki : Yeah I've tried 2 different USB controllers now in the retro game room (both were of the PS2 style but different brands, both plug-n-play) and they both worked right off the bat. You just go to the game menu of the RGR games and usually you double click and it allows you to change the controls. It says along the borders once you're in a game how to access the menu (like I said for a lot of the systems you just double click the screen to access the menu) Then you just go through the options EX: you click up then push up on the directional pad on the USB controller to map 'UP' onto your controller and just go through all of the keys that way.

Personally I would recommend finding an N64 styled USB controller if you really enjoy the N64 games because the controllers I use (ps2 styled) don't really have enough keys compared to an N64 controller. For me its not a big deal because most N64 games don't require you to use the joystick and directional pad and c buttons, instead usually 2 or more of those do the same thing.

Also it helps when you buy the controller make sure it says "plug'n'play" on it , this means you wont need to install anything onto the computer to use the controller... You just plug it into a USB port and it might install a small thing on its own which takes 3 minutes or less, but after that you are already ready to use the controller.

I don't but I think its still working well without it when you get used to the buttons of the computer it take some time to remember which button does what but once remembered it's okay
