After much hassles with my internet provider, TPG Australia, I am leaving them for good.
So it seems my friends that I will no longer be joining you.....

On a regular basis
Yeah you arn't getting rid of me that easily. I'm switching to another internet provider that should be alot better but theres complications because TPG stuffed me around.
Lets just say that they had to give me a free month and end my service at the end of May, due to a legal order against them, but they decided instead to disobey that and send me notice that I'm getting switched off today.
So I now have no time to organise a new service without losing the internet for a period of time.
If all goes well I may have the net back in a week or 2, worst case a month and a half.

I'll try and check in during this time but yeah you wont see me on as much for a little bit.
I should be on till 12am AEST (thats 9am 04-21-09 Vizzed standard time) tonight.
Ok, well thats all for now. Peace be with you... or something

PS: For my Aussie Vizzed companions I warn you that TPG internet is slowly but surely going down the drain.
They are oversubscribing their networks and slowing speeds randomly on off peak for anyone on a high capacity plan (ie me on Super2 40+110gb).
Also it took me and several others (read all about it on Whirlpool forums) having to go to the TIO (telecomunications industry ombudsman) to even get TPG to acknowledge there IS a problem.
They arnt doing it to everyone and you may be fine. This is a warning, not me saying you should leave them

Our internet is TPG too.. but its fine. Infact, they are still rolling out the ADSL2+ plans here, and have increased cap sizes within the last 5 months..

omg im with em too, it sucks i should leave too. Plus i have wireless and i drops out every 5 seconds when im streaming anything

ok im back for now possibly, im borrowing dial up when im allowed to so that may mean like at least every 3 nights or so.
also had to have a big fight with TPG they tried to turn the service back on again after it being off a week.
that was really going to stuff up the new isp installation.
so TPG should be gone for good now, but yeah their customer care sucks.
so now the 21 day wait for broadband begins!

update: well i still dont have high speed internet yet.
called the isp and seems there was a line conflict or some service stuffing up the install, so i had to call the phone company to get them to shut off all services like voicemail.
now the isp is trying again, i should know in 4 days or so if i can be connected this time, though it may take another 21 days to active even if i can get connected...

oh and i think the TIO will be fining TPG alot more before the end of the year.
TPG said on wednesday i would have a confirmation email to say its cancelled and a refund on thursday.
its now friday an nothing...

Looks like I might have nice high speed internet soon.
I got a modem from the new ISP in the mail (for backup in case, meh it wasn't to expensive) so it should be on very soon.
That refund ended up taking 8 days instead of 2 to 3.
And still havn't gotten that cancelation confirmation.
I really want that email, because after all the rubbish TPG put me and lots of others thru (and they are still being dodgy even 6 months on), I want confirmation so they can't pull any more rubbish on me later on.

That's a good thing. Now I can bother you on Messenger all day long :3

I think though it needs to work out some bugs, I have fairly ok rates lined up:
Downstream Line Rate 10659 Kbps
Upstream Line Rate 812 Kbps
Attainable Downstream Line Rate 12436 Kbps
Attainable Upstream Line Rate 864 Kbps

but its not reaching those speeds on the tests I do.
Time for major tweaking, if things turn out ok I'll give a little review of my new ISP for everyone
