ant123ant :

As the Mod Manager, I have loads of say when it comes down to making a decision on a hire.

Why?

Because again, as the Mod Manager, I mostly hire people I'm confident about. The people I'm most confident about are the people I know and observe. Few people realize this, but mod application time is the time I'm busiest. This is because while mod apps are going down, I get literally all the information I can that is publicly available on site about the user. Not only is it great to know who I'm hiring, but in most cases it's absolutely neccessary since a large number of the applicants I only know by name.

This mod application in particular has a lot of people I only know by name, so I'm doing loads more research than I normally do. It's tiring, but I want to make sure I hire the right people, even though it means next to nothing in real life. Yes, I take my job a little seriously, but since it's all I've got, I may as well do my best at it.

Anyway, I got off track. Generally, it's important that we know you before we hire you. That's how it works for all jobs. If they don't know you, they'll have a harder time hiring you. I for one would have trouble hiring you if I didn't know anything about you.

legacyme3 : Would it be a good idea to write a bit about my self and send it to the same address as the ap to make your job a bit easier and so you can judge my character more effectively?

ant123ant :

I don't think it's needed. By this stage, I'm starting my investigations, so you'll save me very minimal time, and I'd rather get an accurate assessment of you with my own eyes. Plus, I'd have to edit the application you sent earlier, which irks me.

legacyme3 : sorry about that and thanks for answering my thread

Applications are now closed.

Thank you to everyone who applied.
