The creator of the hack released a new version which corrects various bugs. The game is now updated. If you've previously played this in the RGR, the new version will work with your current save data if you have a save state created with F2 (in-game saves won't transfer to the new version).

Also if you have already played the old version, because of how the Plugin works, clicking the play game link will load the old version unless you delete the data from your Plugin Data folder.

Go to Start Menu > All Programs > Vizzed Retro Game Room > Open Plugin Data Folder.

There you'll find a folder for Downloads and Roms. In both those folders delete the file for Fire Emblem - The Last Promise (this won't delete your saves since those are in another folder), then the new version will load from the play game link.

Hey, thanks for posting here.

First of all, for those who don't know, The Last Promise is a complete hack of Fire Emblem ("Blazing Sword") with about 40 playable chapters (including gaidens, multiple-part chapters, etc.). It hacks pretty much everything you could imagine and is the first hack of its level of originality and length. I modeled the game after things I personally like to see in video games (being the creator and all), so it IS in fact a bit biased, but I hope you enjoy it regardless!

There are many, many fixes in this update. The game is much more playable and you should no longer encounter many of the old glitches, a few of which would require you to restart the chapter, that occurred in v1.0.

The specifics are too long to post, so instead, simply follow the directions posted above (I honestly don't use Vizzed so I don't know how to do such things myself!) and enjoy.

Also, the game is called "The Last Promise", not "Fire Emblem - The Last Promise" (it's a lot more challenging and in some ways more innovative than your typical FE, so don't go thinking it'll be like any other Fire Emblem game!), which can hopefully be fixed soon... XP
