John23 : SNES netplay is an issue that some users have actually. We've never been able to figure out why it affects some users and not others but if you have access to a 2nd computer, try using a different computer. Another thing you can try doing is using a different internet browser.

I love netplaying I use to use it all the time when I had my Windows 7 Toshiba laptop. I could play Nintendo 64 games on it perfectly. So now I have an Windows 8 Acer laptop and when I try to host or join Nintendo 64 sessions it doesn't work for me at all. I don't know what I'm suppose to do to get it to work. Does netplay not work well for windows 8 at the moment ?

cnw64 : I use Windows 8 and Chrome on my new gaming PC I just built and it works perfectly.

N64 netplay doesn't work all that great in general though. But it kinda depends on what exactly the problem is you are experiencing.

Every time I join a session everyone has told me so far that the game works for them. But on my side nothing pops up at all. They even wait for me to join before they start the session and than start it but still nothing works. Is there something I could do to fix this problem ?

My little brother and I wanted to play Mario Bros 3 together on two different computers he has an account and has no problems playing the original game, but for some reason he couldn't enter the session I made for him. He said something about downloading Java and I helped him multiple times but when it looked like it worked a message appeared in the chatroom telling him to stop hacking and he couldn't play the game with me. I'm really confused and he as well because I don't see what the problem is. Can you help us?

Heh, clicking on someone's name in the netplay doesn't exactly work out well. It apparently can lead to shenanigans like this. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but if it wasn't, it's a bug. I mean, it'd make more sense if clicking someone's name to view their profile just went to the profile, instead of being in the netplay lobby itself. Like I said, it can create shenanigans. At least I learned that entering the chat within the chat kicks you from the chat.


Also, a suggestion... When the maker of a netplay abandons it, and it's just sitting there, it'd be cool if we could petition to take it over. Especially since it's sitting there, doing nothing.

Keep in mind also that games on netplay ask more from you than just the game alone, also make sure to check what server work best for you when creating such session.
